These guys are my heroes. I'm not even kidding, they totally saved me and then went above and beyond after that. Long story short, someone keyed my car and damaged my door lock a couple of years ago. I made the claim right away but then procrastinated on following through with the repairs (for which there is a 2-year time limit if you want it covered by your insurance). I figured I'd have all the time in the world to get it done but then suffered a health condition that took me out for the months leading up to my 2-year deadline. So there's me, trying to find an auto body shop that would take my car in for repair on less than a week's notice. I initially didn't realize how ridiculous of a request that was until I spoke to my insurance provider and then called a large number of other auto body shops. Turns out they all have a 6-week ... waiting list right now. I literally got laughed at when I called some auto body shops to ask if they could take me right away. But Boyd Autobody Richmond was sympathetic to my situation and agreed to take my car right away, despite how busy they are. I was already on cloud 9 and so incredibly grateful when I went in to pick up my car. But little did I know, they still had one surprise left for me. After paying my deductible and getting my keys, I walked out to my car to examine their work. It was perfect. I then jumped in my car, prepared to drive off, when I looked around and saw that my car was immaculately clean. I was shocked. To put this into perspective, my car has not been that clean in years. I have two huskies, both of which shed like you wouldn't believe and love to run through mud, as well as the sand at the beach after getting wet. And then they get in my car. I literally gave up on trying to keep my car clean years ago. And I'm pretty sure there was close to an inch of husky hair than had accumulated on the floor of my back seats, which I tended to ignore because I have a little 2-door BMW so it was hard to get to that area and I never really had to see it anyway. So let's just say, I was convinced my car would never be clean again unless I paid at least $500 for a professional to detail it. I in no way expected Boyd Autobody to clean the inside of my car like that...and BMW certainly doesn't do it whenever I've taken my car in for servicing (not that I can blame them, lol). But Boyd Autobody Richmond went above and beyond on that front. I don't even want to know how many hours it took the poor guy assigned that task to complete it. I was so impressed and grateful that I ran back inside and asked if I could give the guy who cleaned my car a tip. But they, with a smile, said no, it's all good, and they would pass along my thanks. I have called Boyd for a number of repairs over the years and have always been impressed with their level of client service and professionalism. Today I went in for a simple glass chip repair on the windshield. Fix was completed complimentary (no impact to my insurance) while I waited about 15 minutes. Will continue to use Boyd in the future. definitely a 5 star review--my driver's side window/frame was hit by a big falling branch during the snow a couple of weeks ago. I contacted the Richmond location the morning of discovering the damage. I was able to take the car in at 2:00 pm on Nov.29th (other place said they could not even look at it until the 16th of December. The staff vacuumed the entire interior --removing glass and checking the child care seats to ensure no fragments remained. The driver's window was secured with heavy duty plastic. The staff phoned me on Thursday to say ICBC had approved the repairs and I had an appt on Monday the 5th of December. A rental car was at the shop and the staff transferred the 2 baby/child car seats to the rental car. I got a call on Thurs. Dec. 8th saying the work was done.....I picked up my car --the staff again transferred the car ... seats again ensuring they were secure. Wow - such an excellent job ---every part that needed to be repaired/replaced was perfect along with painting of the areas. I have no knowledge about cars, but what the staff were able to do gave me peace of mind. I would highly recommend this business to anyone who, unfortunately, needs their services read more

Paolo and his team took real good care of me, turning an unpleasant accident into a pleasant customer experience. The first time I was impressed was when they offered to give me a ride home after I dropped off my car. Paolo kept in touch with me over email and phone, sending me continuous updates and helping me navigate the world of insurance, estimated vehicle value and the rest of the process. When I got my car back, it was in better condition than before the accident! They even cleaned the interior and gave it a thorough wash. Very impressed and would definitely come back again.

I would like to thank Paolo and his team for doing such a great job on my SUV. From the initial appointment onwards, they kept me informed as to what repairs were needed and how long it would take. As we have three young kids, Paolo made sure there was a courtesy vechicle available that would be suitable to our needs. The repairs were completed in a very timely manner and the truck looked amazing! Paolo clearly explained everything that was done and to make this situation even more easier for me, he helped move our kids car seats over from the courtesy vehicle to our SUV.
